It is a good idea to look for divorce records when you start getting close to that special person. Divorce records are important for a few reasons. We will siacuss those reasons below.

Divorce records will have information on disputes between your lover and their former spouce. This is important because there can be an accusation of abuse by the other party. This information is crucial to your safety. If their former spouce was abused, it is a good indication you could be in harm.
