Perform Your Own Background Checks

Most people could use a background check on some one in their lives. You might have a new boyfriend or girlfriend. You might have a new neighbor or roommate. You might even have a new employee. What ever the case background checks are a great way to help you know that person in your life a little better.

Private investigators charge anywhere from $150-$500 for a simple background check. I know. I am a private investigator. I have made a very good living running background checks on people. Now, I am going to give you the power to perform your own checks by giving you the basics in this article.

The first thing you obviously need to perform your check is the person’s full name. There is a 99% chance that you already have this information. This is your basis for everything. That want hard was it?

The next thing you want to find is the person’s address(s). This is a significant yet easy piece of information to find. With an address or two you will be able to uncover a multitude of records. During your check, you will want to look for a criminal past or a past lawsuit. Having an address history will get you access to the counties the person has lived in. This is huge. All records you are concerned with are kept on a county by county basis. Find those counties and you find the records! There is a great resource at the end of this article that lets you find all addresses with very little information.

You then want to obtain the person’s date of birth. Date of Birth is going to be used to verify the identity of the person so you know the records you are oulling are his. There might be two Jack Frosts that lived in the same county. You need the date of birth to verify which person is your subject.

This is really all you need to perform an in depth investigation into a person’s background. Not as flashy as you thought is it? Information is easy to find if you know how to find it.
